About:
I was doing pretty well as a vegan, but when we moved to a new city I found myself slipping into old habits. I'm working on getting back into my groove, where I feel better in body and better about life.

More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I started because I wanted to lose weight and reduce my contribution to animal suffering, but I was surprised to find out how much I enjoyed being vegan and how much better my skin would look.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I live in Utah, and it's difficult to find restaurants that share my views. Salt lake seems to have quite a few, but in Ogden I have to be more watchful and make more compromises. What we need here is an all-vegan restaurant.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I was astonished by how beautiful the city of Venice was. I'd seen pictures, but I didn't understand until I went there. I'd like to go back and spend more time.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Family style bean curd, drunken noodles with tofu, green papaya salad (no shrimp), pesto & white bean soup with gnocchi, Arabian lentils and rice...So many things. I love food.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Right now I'm working on Viva Vegan by Terry Hope Romero. I've missed Latin food terribly, and I'm so excited to have it back on the menu.
