More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I eat raw vegan for the health reasons mainly. You can't ignore the quality of life attained through liberating yourself from cooked, processed, less than excellent food. "May you remain impartial on your path to absolute truth and honesty" -RawMatt
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I am RawMatt from Az. I know It's not real original but I am a member of several raw vegan meetup groups in the Phoenix area and after someone called me "RawMatt" it kind of stuck. I am interested in helping people to educate themselves about nutrition, exercise, and being conscious about the earth by recycling, composting, and more importantly voting with your dollar every time you buy ORGANIC Eco-Friendly, Sustainable products.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Jackson Hole Wyoming is first to come to mind. Fresh powder has that effect on people who like to play in the snow. I usually make a few trips to snowboard in the Winter and so far Jackson was my favorite. I am going to Maui in a month so we shall see although you can't really compare the two. I also love Italy and will be going back ASAP.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
My favorite food is Durian, Mangosteens, Mangos, and whatever creation I have in the dehydrator or fridge at the time.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
I have probably read too many raw food books for one person to handle. I really like "The Live Food Factor". "Jubbs Cell Rejuvenation" is another favorite of mine. Just got done reading "Born to Run" By. Christopher Mcdougall and it was amazing! If you are remotely interested in running, human physiology, or anthropology this is a must read.
