Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Learning about being responsible for myself. So, if I can't kill the animal how can I eat it??! I've worked on several farms. I had fun talking to chickens, ducks &turkeys; etc. My feelings are such that I can't damage my soul in that way anymore(eating a dead animal).
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Happy Cow's doing a loving thing here. Spread the Veggie information. Also, since I've been traveling a bunch the last few years; this site has been very helpful.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Tucson, AZ : enjoyed that town. There's a friendly well-established Raw Vegan community. Like to visit Japan, probably.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Raw Vegan versions of : Celery soup; Squash soup; flax crackers. A green salad with whatever veggies are local/in season is always a beautiful thing.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
"Stranger than Fiction" I found to be a enjoyable, clever movie.
