More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Went vegetarian after seeing the movie Babe in mid 80's. Didn't know what vegan was until years later. Started reading up on it and decided because of my love for all animals, I should finish what I started. Animals are my passion in life.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

Trying to find good vegetarian places to eat. There are literally NONE in my local area - and probably none within 100 miles. I try to make others aware of the need for vegetarian foods.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Florida. Have a winter home there and would like to move there when I retire. California. Went to Yosemite and San Francisco. Fell in LOVE with the place. Would like to someday go to Hawaii and Australia (to hold a Koala) I like to travel - but hate to fly. So I like to go anywhere new that I am able to drive to.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Don't know that I have a favorite. But I enjoy veggie wraps made with Food for Life tortilla shells. Yummy. Have a few favorite recipes I make frequently: brownies, tofu scramble, pancakes & french toast. Also like to make salads with Morning Star (fake)Chicken strips. I guess I'd also be lost without my cashew butter & agave nectar's. Also eat my Silk Soy Yogurt every day. Yum

Enjoy reading Veggie Life, Veg News & Vegetarian Times. I think my own personal books are pretty special. From Rainshowers to Rainbows, which came out in Feb 2009 and A Man Of Excellence, due to come out summer of 2009. Also recommend the Bible. Movies? I'm a movie buff. Loved Fireproof, Facing the Giants, Uninvited, Funny Farm, scary movies, action movies, etc.
