Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I'd been eating 'mostly vegan' for a while and, after being diagnosed with high cholesterol (hereditary), I decided to cut out meat. Having lactose intolerance too, I found "mostly vegan" a quicker way to describe how I eat to others, but I settled on "plant-based diet" which is more accurate. One of the best things is that food keeps for much longer in my fridge - no meat to go off after a few days!
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I semi-regularly travel to other cities and it's brilliant to be able to quickly look up where the veggie/vegan places are
