I have been living in Ha Noi for over 5 years, have been eating at Nang Tam for as long, i have tried and been to other vegan places here. I rate Nang Tam as the best. We were there last evening it was Lunar Moon so was crowded and I enjoyed the mixed steamed vegetables (they were crunchy, not over cooked like many other places who over cook for oldies who have NO teeth), we had fried spring rolls and fresh spring rolls, mixed mushrooms and rice with vegetables. all came together (we always request this- not like other places that bring out one by one, after we tell them to bring out all together). Microwave?? I have never seen a microwave here. So the place was buzzing and we waited no more longer than normal. To read your bad comments I find hard to believe. This place always is busy and many westerners dine here and you know they would be the first to complain, yet they still come back. Your the first complainer. Veggies over cooked, that surprises me, I hope you made your comments to the old lady cashier, she does speak English not fluently but understands. Some waiters/resses don't spk English there is a turn over of staff, but pointing at the English/Vietnamese menu should be ok. I'm sure if I dined in Ukraine they also mightn't spk English, if you go to a foreign country you don't expect everyone to spk English!
