Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I have lived vegetarian a few times in my life, each for a year or so at a time. I'm trying to get back into it again because I am tired of being a hypocrite. I love animals and refuse to be anywhere near their killing (ie, I won't eat a lobster that I just saw alive, 10 mins prior) but I have still been eating meat. I need to stop!

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

My friends and family don't really understant my vegetarian "phases" and want to be with a group of people that will be supportive, informative, and motivating.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I have had the good fortune of visiting over 30 countries and have loved so much about each place I've been. My very favorite, though, for many reasons is Dublin, Ireland. I'd love to visit Iceland and just about anywhere in South America. I know, completely different!

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I love that so much Indian food is vegetarian, my favorite being aloo ghobi. There is a vegetarian meatball sandwich at a shop here in the Bay Area that I would eat almost every day. I really could go on and on but I have to admit, I'm not ready to go vegan. I feel horribly about that but I have never been successful in weening myself off of cheeses. Mmmm....cheese....
