More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I just stopped one day. For no particular reason. I guess I don't digest meat well and I feel better when I don't eat it. I also don't really like the taste of it. Perhaps as time has gone on, compassionate reasons have kicked in, too. I love experimenting with nature's edible gifts to us - I think it makes me a lot more creative with my food than when I ate meat and I find it amazing how stuff derived from plants or from the ground can be so flavourful in its own self and the possibilities are endless when it comes to creating recipes.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I travel a lot and came across Happy Cow looking up veg restaurants in my destinations... made eating out when travelling SO much easier and it's like my bible now.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Fell in love with Japan, Finland and Nepal. Lived in the Netherlands for a year and equally adored it. I'd like to visit all the 'Stans' one day, all of Eastern Europe...China, Mongolia, Russia...can I just say the whole world?
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Avocados, Raw Chocolate, Chia Seeds, Tofu, Mushrooms, Matcha, Hummus, Lentils, Spinach, Oats, Almond Milk, Cashews, Quinoa, Bananas...and so on and so on...
