More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

I truly believe it's the best way to eat for the animals, the planet and my own conscience!

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

To learn more from other veggies/vegans and to help others discover the places I have enjoyed myself. I also think it's a great way to support businesses which are catering to veggie and vegan appetites.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I currently live in Tokyo and although the average Japanese person has no idea what vegan means there are a large number of veggie and vegan restaurants here. So far I have been consistently impressed with the variety and quality of the food I've tried. London also has some great places though it seems behind other major cities in terms of vegan establishments.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Pretty much everything I've tried so far I've enjoyed, but my favourite food has to be pasta and pizza. I've also been amazed at how great vegan cakes and cookies can be, as I was a keen baker before I turned vegan and was worried I would not be able to enjoy the same things once I cut out eggs and dairy. Luckily I was wrong.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Vegucated is a great watch and may help friends/family members understand your dietary decisions if you find them difficult to explain.
