More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
A good balanced diet without meat and dairy is healthier, safer, more sustainable (environmentally friendly) and respects animals. I took me a while to realise that milk and eggs are not important and vegetable protein rich foods are equally nutritious, healthier and better and just as tasty and varied once you wean yourself off addiction to cheese etc, which is made from the fat removed from skimmed milk and still involves all that dodgy cattle farming. Prefer organic as far as affordable.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
tofu, plain and in many flavours, eaten like cheese; most vegetables fruits and salads of course and fresh bread; nuts; pumpkin, sesame, hemp, flax seeds; tomato juice; vegetable based cooked dishes prepared by my friends and restaurants
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Vegucated (film); Plant-based Nutrition and Health (book by Stephen Walsh)
