More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I believe in personal responsibility. By eating vegan I'm taking responsibility for my body, my health and my impact on the lives of animals.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Still exploring, but I love the information I find here.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love being out west- I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to find restaurants that were concerned with providing organic, veg options. I really want to explore more of the West.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I LOVE international foods. Indian, Chinese, Ethiopian, Japanese... I'm also a fan of raw vegan cheesecake and I make a mean vegan pumpkin cashew pie.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Vegan: The New Ethics of Eating is the best book I've found so far for providing factual information on the health aspects of a vegan diet. The author did not rely on shock-value and exageration to make his points, which I greatly appreciated.

Hi Jen: I see you are following me on Happy Cow, I didn't even know you could do that. I have a vegan cooking web site called Peaceful Table (at blogspot), and I live over near St. Michaels, in Newcomb, just past Easton. My good friend's daughter is also a wonderful photographer (I checked out your gorgeous photography); shb-photography.com. I don't know any other vegans in MD, and it's nice to know there is one in Grasonville. Actually, I have emailed another one in Salisbury but never met her. Take care. Amanda
