More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

My name is Maddy by the way, I thought I could pick a username and then have my name under it but I can't. Anyway I originally chose to be vegetarian for the planet and then chose to take that a step farther and be vegan to further my efforts in helping the environment but now I do it because I care for animals and don't want to support a system that is morally wrong.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I wish to find friends with similar views, so I know I'm not the only weirdo out there that prefers plants over animals.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I love going to Oregon or just the beach during the summer, I wish to visit animal sanctuaries sometime soon and later I want to visit India.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I love tofu just not when I can taste the tofu, I make vegetable sandwiches that are great, I make a lot of pasta dishes and curry. I like pretty much anything I eat, I figure being vegan I chose to eat a specific diet so why should I limit it.

I realize that I only put one book in my "fav book" section that's because I'm drawing a blank on what books I liked that don't make me sound like a toddler but Ecotopia is like a life guide to me I think the ideas in it are fantastic and I hope one day to live in a place like Ecotopia.
