Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I believe veganism is an ethical diet for those who are privileged enough to make such a decision. I believe that anyone who claims to care about the environment or animal welfare should aspire to be vegan for the most part. I dislike fundamentalists and bigots of any description, including some vegans! I've been vegan (or thereabouts) for around 20 years, and have come to realise that one way to make this diet sustainable from a personal and social level is to be flexible, non-judgmental and to recognise and accept our own contradictions. This is way I say veganism has to be an aspiration rather than a doctrine.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I travel a fair bit and I've used Happy Cow's Veg Out app every where I go! It's been very helpful, and I thought I should join so I too can contribute to reviews.
