More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I'm vegan because I love animals and don't want anything to do with the animal agriculture industry and killing in general.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I use Happy Cow to find health food stores and vegetarian/vegan (or vegan-friendly) restaurants when I travel.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love traveling and have visited many countries as well as most of the United States. I love India and have been many times! India is perhaps the most vegetarian-friendly, on a large scale, country in the world. However, I haven't been since I went vegan so I'm not sure how simple it would be, seeing as they often cook food in ghee. I would still love to visit Hawaii, Australia, and Bali among other places.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I am a passionate vegan cook and I love making coriander and basil pesto, I usually make a fresh batch every week. I also make my own almond or other nut milk. My favorite type of cuisine is Mexican, and I often make fresh salsa. As many vegans do, I love my power blender and making all sorts of sauces, smoothies and juices with it. I try to cook fresh every day when I can, and I love trying out new recipes.

Driftwood magazine, it's a new (2015) magazine about the international vegan community, and vegan travel.
