But, just in case you need a quick rundown, here are a few important things about me. Family is my number one priority. On October 10, 2010 I married the love of my life, Bryan Joseph. As happy as I am to be married, we missed someone very special on our wedding day. My grandmother, Carrie Straub, passed away three weeks before our wedding. She was (always will be) my hero. I now know how important it is to cherish all of those that I love because they may not have tomorrow. We have a beautiful three year old daughter. She brings out the child in us both while keeping us very busy. I'm a laid back kinda gal. If given the choice, I'd rather put on my flannel pajama pants and cuddle up with my daughter and a good book. But, some nights I just need to step out with my friends. I'm addicted to chocolate and carbs. I'd love to return to Scotland one day. I love my husband. And Oregon will always be my home. I recently completed my MAT (Masters in Teaching) program at Concordia University in Portland OR. I have earned endorsements in both High School level Language Arts and Social Studies. The next step is to find a classroom of my own. However, I'm substitute teaching in many different classrooms in Multnomah County, Clackamas County, and the City of Portland. It's a great opportunity, and I'm learning so much! That's the gist. If I've left something out, I'm currently accepting questions :)
