Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I have never cared for meat, even since I was a young child. It disgusted me to find out meat was from slaughtered animals and factory farming is horrendous and should be banned!
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I love checking out compassionate and veg*n restaurants, stores, and communities. It's a great resource when traveling as well.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Puerto Vallarta, MX was a wonderful vacation. All the food was delicious but we especially enjoyed the two all vegetarian restaurants we visited while there: Mary Vegetariano and Planeto Vegeariano. We used to live in Baltimore, MD and they have a decent selection of vegetarian restaurants. I wish there were more around my new house.

We're not that far from Martinsburg. Near Winchester VA. Our meetup group has members in Martinsburg and in the Hagerstown MD area. There is also a Western Maryland group to which we belong and with which we share common members.
