More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Veganism is the only ethical choice for people who want to live in accordance with their belief that animals shouldn't be harmed unnecessarily - because palate pleasure, fashion and entertainment are all frivolous choices (for which great replacements are in abundance!). I LOVE to cook (especially with home-grown veggies) and my mostly nonvegan friends say if they always ate my cooking they could go vegan (um...thanks?). I cook and eat healthfully at home with minimal oils & processed foods but when I go out I want some TRASHY YUMSTUFF, which is why my reviews are mostly of slutty vegan diners.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

I'm a touring musician and I often only have a one or two hour window to find a meal in any given town, so the site is very helpful! Also (this is sad) but a lot of restaurants equate vegetarianism with veganism and offer false advertising (like vegetarian Indian restaurants that put ghee in everything) so I rely on reviews by vegans to get the real low down.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

Prague, Germany, France, NYC, Toronto, SW Utah, Colorado, California. I'd like to go to Jamaica, St.Lucia, Trinidad, India, back to Czech Republic.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

Lasagna, tacos, burritos, stirfry, salad rolls, spring rolls, burgers, pizza, salads, BBQ tempeh, curry, raw desserts, fresh fruit, beer & whiskey. Man, now I'm hungry!
