Vegan Cooking Tips and Recipes Forum

As you may know, Bolivian cuisine almost lacks for the vegetarian recipes so I am trying to change this by letting the people know that if you stay in Bolivia, you can also keep vegetarian!

    Heart of palm

    1 pack of heart of palm
    2 onions
    3 tomatoes
    2 chilies
    1 small bunch of bolivian cilantro
    2 tablespoon vegetable oil
    3 tablespoon vinegar


    Cut heart of palm into circles and put them in water with salt for a few minutes. Cut onions, tomatoes and chili into stripes and mix with heart of palm. Add oil, vinegar, cilantro, salt, pepper and just a little of sugar

    Serve with lettuce garnish.

    Serves: 6

    Tip: Bolivian cilantro is also called “quirquiña”

    That's awesome, thanks for posting it. I have never had Heart of Palm so I will go out of my way to taste Bolivian culture. Thanks again.
