• MUST visit for fans of Indian veg food

This is hands-down my favorite restaurant in Singapore, and surpasses most south Indian veg restaraunts I have tried in the U.S. The 'Rice Meal' and 'Rice Plate' are fantastic. Service quality is inconsistent, but has improved since I first viaited in 2009. Cleanliness levels depend on how busy the place is when you get there. The masala tea and bru coffee are very tasty; keep in mind that you can ask them to be made with less sugar if you do not want your drink so sweet. I find the Komalas location on Serangoon to have the best food, but the less busy branch on Race Course Road does a fine job as well. Would love to see them add more items using less onion and garlic, but compared to a lot of the local Chinese options, Komalas rocks in this area (Jain food).
