• One disappointment after another

I heard mixed reviews about this place so I was scared to try it (and I should have been). But when I got there and saw the menu I was presently surprised that most of the stuff was labeled vegan. So I decided on a Caesar salad with seitan. I got it to go and walked 10 minutes back to my hotel only to find that it was covered in Parmesan cheese. At this point I was so angry that I walked all the way back to show them and either get my money back or get a new one. I showed a waiter that it was labeled vegan on the menu not vegetarian. And they all apologized except the chef who said that I needed to specify if I wanted it vegan. Excuse me for assuming that something labeled vegan was actually vegan. So they remade it and were very kind about it. But the salad was just not good at all. The "Caesar" dressing just tastes like mayo and the seitan was like a tofurkey sausage. I feel disgusting. This is such a disappointing way to leave Florence after all of the good food I have had. If you go here make sure to specify you want vegan!!! don't take for granted that it is labeled as vegan.
