- Great little tea house cafe
Teaism is all over the District, but it is a positive semi-ubiquitous tea house because it has a menu that tells you (if you ask or go on-line) what is veg*n and if anything can be veganized! The teas are splendidly refreshing on a hot day or warmly soothing on a cold day. The entrees range from a bento box to fabulously fresh and large sized portions of side entrees like seaweed salad, pumpkin, spinach and green beans. The large entrees or big dishes include tempeh scramble for brekkie or brunch, along with some delicious stir fries, rice soup and even a tempeh burger. I love this little haven because it makes me feel secure that what I order is vegan. I also love being able to get a few sides to nibble on with tea! Though the portions are hearty!
