- Alternative to another falafel
de Peper is more like a "Volkskeuken" (people's kitchen) than a restaurant. Based in a legalised squat, it's a nice mix of laid back atmosphere and good, simple, food. Miso stew, bean stew and roasted veg are never going to win any culinary awards, but the food is well cooked, and the portions are hearty. Music was a little loud for conversation, but we were sitting right under the speakers, and may not have been an issue in other parts of the dining room.
