  • Nice spot, good pastries and coffee, $$$ breakfast

This was a nice little spot with great outdoor seating and an excellent vibe. We'd hoped to get breakfast, but after checking out the prices decided that we couldn't pay over $100 for a breakfast when we can get the same dish for $35 elsewhere. I'm sure the quality is better, but that price difference is huge. We ended up getting coffee and some pastries, which turned out to be a good idea. Everything was really good and it was nice to taste some coffee that reminded me of home (Brooklyn). My southern wife was impressed by the whole-grain (integral) biscuit. I asked for butter, and they brought out a big glob of it, somehow knowing my needs :) The lunch meals sounded really good and were more reasonably priced. I'm not sure why the breakfast was so high. You can't get the lunches until after 1:00 or 1:30 though.
