• Who knew? Vegan ice cream in High Springs!

We were driving back from Ichetucknee Springs and as we slowed up to stop at the lights in the center of High Springs we looked out of the window and saw Krazzy Kow, an ice cream parlor/cafe that seemed to be offering vegan options. We parked further up the street and walked back to take a look. Sure enough, there are four flavors of vegan ice cream (the rest are ovo-vegetarian), and you can also buy coffee and vegan snack bars (three varieties). The owners are a friendly couple who opened the business at the beginning of 2016, and they are still here. We bought a couple of kids' size servings of vegan ice creams, pistachio and 'butter' pecan - both were delicious. Price was reasonable. While we were there, quite a number of other customers came in, and one woman was sat outside feeding ice cream to her terrier! The place is relaxed and welcoming. A nice vegan quick stop in what was, until recently, a food desert for vegetarians and vegans. Thank you Krazzy Kow!! Updated from previous review on 2016-11-28
