• delicious pizza!

Brilliant place that does at least two delicious vegan pizzas at any time (including melty vegan cheese - violife?) Really great pizza base and great toppings. Some of the very best vegan pizza we've had. Their own beer was vegan (or at least, the one I tried was), and they always know which beers are vegan (usually several). Lovely pub and very friendly people who don't make you feel strange for being vegan! Update: in our opinion this has gone downhill in the last few months since the pizza chef left. So we've reduced from 4 to 3 stars. Pizza is still nice and they still do vegan options but far less consistent - eg once one of the pizzas came very burned - and it's odd they charge an extra pound for vegan cheese when every vegan option means leaving off 2-4 other things. Further update July 2018 - original pizza chef is back! and the pizza has gone back to its previous fantastic quality. They still charge more for vegan cheese, and the menu has no obvious vegan options so you need to have a chat with them, but we resent it much less now that its delicious again Updated from previous review on 2017-08-07
