  • Nice roast but not value for money

We visited The Fox Haggerston with our meat-eating friends for a Sunday roast. At £13,50 we had a chunk of nut roast, a few roasties, gravy, 3 root vegetable sticks and a good portion of red cabbage. The yorkies that come with the roast are not vegan. All in all, we cleaned our plates in under 10 mins and were still hungry. Our friends, though, were spoiled. Their meat roast was only a pound more expensive but they had more veggies and potatoes on their plates, plus some nut roast and cranberry sauce. It really felt like a rip-off. This pub is probably the most doggie-friendly place on earth. Many customers come with they four-pawed friends and the atmosphere is nice and laid back. They also have a good selection of vegan ciders so your Sunday roast is sorted. No vegan dessert in sight.
