  • A pleasant surprise

We chanced upon this cafe at lunch time on a Sunday, when the well known vegan restaurant next door was closed. This cafe offered authentic, home made Middle Eastern vegetarian options including cous cous, tagine and ratatouille with quite filling savoury pastries as accompaniments. Sweet pastries (baklava, etc) and teas were also available. Tasty, simple fare which kept us going until dinner time. The real highlight was the very helpful owner who patiently explained the menu to us (including which options were vegetarian) despite our mutual language barriers. Quite a nice experience after the stereotypical French waiter service elsewhere!
