- Best vegan food on campus
Baron is located on the campus of the university and thus a bit far away if you are in the city of Mainz. For those who are on campus anyway it is a very good option though: They are the only place in Mainz which makes pizzas with vegan chesse; those are very tasty and quite cheap (depending on how many toppings you want about 6-7 EUR). Also about once or twice a week their lunch is vegan. It is way more expensive than the other places on campus (about 8 EUR compared to about 4EUR in the mensa) but also way better. You always get a fresh salad and a large plate with freshly prepared food. In the city this would be considered a bargain. You should check their website for their weekly menu!
