I emailed Tiffany ahead of time and asked about vegan options at the restaurant, (vegan is hard to come by on Isla Mujeres). She went above and beyond by returning my email with an extensive and detailed list of vegan items on their menu, and assured me that they would be happy to mix and match items, to make fully vegan and complete meal. She also suggested other restaurants on the island where I might find vegan options, and mentioned the importance of soaking local produce in an anti microbial/baterical wash of Microdyn, and let me know that they soaked all there produce at Barlito. I got a bagel loaded with veggies, and a side of beets. Fresh and tasty!
