  • Good vegan menu

This is for O'Dowds cafe in Roundstone, rather than O'Dowds restaurant and bar next door - which didn't seem to have any vegan options. The cafe had a vegan menu, which were given without asking for it. Several light mains (open tofurkey sandwiches, rice with sea vegetables and mushrooms, pizza, and others), a chocolate torte, vegan Irish coffee, and a couple of vegan wines. Our meals were very nice, and the staff friendly and helpful. The cafe looks out over the nearby bay, from ground or first floor, and also provides a laptop for internet access. We were very pleased (and surprised!) to find it - a real treat on a damp Connemara day.
