  • Non vegan chinese restaurant with some vegetarian and vegan items

This place is what you can expect from a mediocre non-vegan chinese restaurant: mediocre food, vegan items hard to spot. The place was full on a Saturday evening and there was a line to be seated. They have a "Vegetables" and "Vegetarian dishes" section in the menu, but it's hard to spot the vegan and vegetarian dishes as they use oyster sauce. Our server was nice, but it was hard to communicate him that we wanted vegan dishes. I explained no dairy, no eggs, no oyster sauce and no gelatin. We decided for the sweet and sour tofu (which proved vegan) and the tofu with vegetables in crocked pot (had some non vegan ingredient, maybe oyster sauce.. not sure, but I could tell it was not vegan - could be also because they might have used the same pots as for the meat dishes). I would not say not to go there, but be more careful and make sure your message gets through. Updated from previous review on 2016-10-24
