First thing to note is that no English is spoken here. That should not prevent anyone from getting a meal: just pick what you want, hand your selection to the cook, and respond to the cook's cue to indicate the cooking method: soup or fried (not sure if it is stir-fried or simmer-fried - I went for the soup). But if you need to talk with cook/server (e.g., about ingredients or cooking methods), some Chinese is needed. Soup was a noodle soup, with hand-pulled noodles. Although the flavor of the soup broth was not bad, I couldn't really taste the vegetables I selected. Don't know if the soup was too strong or the vegetables were too bland. But a bigger disappointment was the noodles: they quickly became soggy in the soup. All in all, my meal was a disappointment. But it's a popular place so, although it didn't suit my taste, it does seem to suit others. And it's open late - that deserves bonus points. Updated from previous review on Wednesday May 18, 2016
