  • Much needed central source of vegan food

Given lack of truly vegan-friendly eateries in the centre of Brussels, this place is a life-saver. Has everything you'd expect to find in a UK health food shop, more or less - except for the fact that so many fewer people on the continent seem to be dairy-free for ethical reasons, I didn't see any soya milk fortified in B12 or D vitamins (same problem in France). The guy working in the shop today turned out to be vegan too, and when I asked about local tips couldn't provide anything not already on HappyCow (pat yourselves on the back, HappyCow!), beyond the omnipresent Exki, which are useful if you're desperate and don't mind eating a salad out of a plastic pot.
