- Exotic options, interesting fusion
I choose A Tribo when I want more exotic dishes. Although they serve some Brazilian options in their buffet line, like farofa, acarajé, and creme de milho, they tend to blend spices and techniques. The South African owners have experience with native Brazilian and Indian cuisines, which results in exotic yet strangely familiar tastes. They have many gluten and sugar-free options for desserts, and a salad bar with cold dishes like raw pesto pasta, tabouleh, and mustard-marinated cucumbers. For hot dishes, I especially recommend their lentils/dal, sweet-sour tofu, creme de milho, and quiches. Great juices too!
