  • Heaven is a Tahina pita

My first experience of vegan food in Melbourne and not a disappointment! Very busy and not designed for customers to linger, but that's true to the nature of street food places. Think old time burger bar, with stools at a long counter, you eat and go and you pretty much have it. I chose the green falafel pita pocket and my omni partner went with the red shakshuka. Talk about amazing! Absolutely loved every part of this. The pita was thick and pillowy, nothing like supermarket versions and the amount of food! Definitely filling! My partner enjoyed his meal as well. I made the mistake of ordering a vegan chocolate souffle when I ordered my meal and by the time I finished I didn't know where I'd find room for dessert - but when it came, I quickly found room. Though a small dessert, it's packed with rich, gooey chocolatey goodness. Definitely not something to miss. This would be the perfect place for a group to grab a meal then head to a nearby park for a relaxed, shared picnic.
