  • Amazing - A Definite Favorite

I love Indian food. Not all of my friends agree, but most of them do, so we occasionally go out for some. The first time I heard of this place, I was a little hesitant at the reviews about how spicy it was (I don't do well with heat), but I ended up going not that long ago. Since then, I've been there four times and have even gotten my parents into it! The fare is different from your normal Vegetarian Indian Cuisine and all of their items are onion and garlic-free. It also varies by the day from various curries (Saag/Palak Paneer is my favorite but they've only served it once since my first visit) to stir-fried items but they always have the same two soups - my favorite: the yoghurt soup. Sorry, I don't know the name. In fact, I can say that I'm not familiar with the names of most of the food they have there. However, they've never led me astray and I've always left happy. The place offers these circular metal plates as well as hundreds (or so it seems) of mini plates to portion out your selections. There's also a dessert/"salad" bar off to the side with little puri, various chutney, and that day's dessert. It's spicy but it's not too spicy. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is amazing and what I love is that there's a man who always goes around from person to person, offering you a selection of flat breads (though they do not have naan) with one that is sweet and stuffed with dates. I LOVE THE VARIETY. I come in starving and I always leave with a food baby. Most possibly my favorite Indian Restaurant in town. The awesome seating with the long seat cushions at your back are my favorite as well as the random Bollywood playing on the TV! The prices are a bit high at around $14 per person, but it's worth it.
