- Idyllic Park Café
A bit away from Bamberg's city centre on the grounds of the former Landesgartenschau area is this small café. Its delicious cake and cream pies make it well worth the trip. And if you are studying on the Erba university campus it's the nearest restaurant with good food. Cafe Zuckerl offers several choices of vegan and non-vegan cake,fresh waffles, paninis and salads, ice cream in summer as well as obviously cafe. My meat-eating boyfriend simply loves their vegan cream cakes...more than most other cakes anywhere else :D Some of the paninis are a little small for the money you pay, others are great. Same goes for the waffles. If you have children with you this is a really nice place to visit. There is a huge playground with a water playground section near the Café.
