- 99% of the menu can use vegan alternatives
This place is awesome. I've visited it twice now in two weeks. Ordering: After spending 5 minutes on the initial time clarifying what they mean by "vegan" and "veganified", we delightfully ordered. From memory, everything except the "hot melted cheese" everything can be made with vegan cheese, things like mayo and sour cream and their patties are vegan anyway. Upon the second time, they actually have a laminated piece of paper saying exactly which items are suitable for which diets. Upon the second time, we were able to just say "We are vegans, and would like the vegan versions of everything we order. We'd like ..." and that was enough for them to do the replacements. Food: We've had the Spicy, Chicken, Guru burgers in Big size, as well as the Sweet Potato chips in Large size, as well as a Cookies & Cream smoothy. My friend really loved the Chicken burger over the Spicy. I really enjoyed the Spicy over the Guru. However I did find the beef patties to be a bit too consistent in flavour despite an appealing texture (my friend agreed). I did find the Guru patty appealing in taste, but not that appealing in texture. I'll order the Spicy again. The Sweet Potato chips are plentiful in the large size, and the sauce is also plenty. The various sauces are all good, so no matter what you get, it will still be yummy. The Sweet Potato chips savoury taste can be a pit overpowering, however I'd prefer overpowering flavour to underpowering flavour any day. The smoothy was really nice, although could have been more indulgent, as was more a milk shake than a smoothy. The burgers alone are not enough to fill me, but are enough to quench my hunger. The large chips will fill me, so best split between two or more. Price: The price is too high for me to make this an everyday thing, but if your vegan snack bag expires or you are stuck in the city, it great to be able to get some guaranteed vegan food that isn't contaminated in the making with non-vegan ingredients like your average kebab and fries options at less ethical establishments. So if you are stuck out in the city, and hungry, this has become my go to place. Overall: This is a solid place to have enjoyable tasty food at a vegan-friendly establishment in the city.
