This is a great cafe - very nice setting, great menu, good location, decent prices (expensive, but good value for your money, in my opinion). If you enjoy a warm cafe with high ceilings, great decor (Instagram-worthy) and nice seating, topped with a great menu (quality local/organic produce), then this is the place for you. I ordered a ‘small’ salad (a veggie bowl with the salads of the day for $8). To my surprise, it was actually quite a large serving of salad (after expecting a stingy amount). It included beetroot, pumpkin, chickpeas, and other toppings (YUM). Overall, a great salad with quality ingredients It is definitely a great destination for fellow vegans and vegetarians, as the menu is dedicated to catering for ALL requirements (raw included!). A likely concern is the pricing. As I mentioned, the cheapest item of the menu was a small, $8 salad. This is excluding appetizers like a $4 rice paper roll and expensive raw vegan cakes. If you are looking for a quick meal with a lower price range, you may be better off looking at other veg places in Newcastle. However, I will say that the place has good portion sizes for the price, considering the cafe aims to provide the highest quality local/organic ingredients.
