- Lovely little lunch place
Hoppetosse is quite a small restaurant with a small but always nice menu. They always offer some burgers but also some other seasonal dishes. In summer you can sit outside just on the other side of the (pedestrian only) street. Because it is a side alley of one of the main axes through Mainz, it is both central and comaparably quiet. Their food is always great, as are their homemade lemonades, cheeses and desserts. Only their opening times are a bit frustrating for people like me who don't work in Mainz city - they basically open at lunchtime and close just before I like to have dinner.
