  • Good service, amazing food

The food was simply amazing, and rather inexpensive. A member of our group has gluten sensitivity, and the restaurant provided a gluten free alternative (a kind of potato salad instead of the injera bread they usually serve) without an extra charge. All in all the service was friendly and helpful. We ordered the mixed vegetarian platter; it was varied and delicious. The injera bread they serve with all dishes was very sour, which we liked, but might be a surprise for some, if you don't know what to expect. We didn't ask whether the food was strictly vegan or just vegetarian. I suspect they might use clarified butter in the sauces. The atmosphere was cozy. The restaurant had dining tables on two floors. The ground floor had a more typical restaurant decor with distinct African elements, but the second floor area was really interesting with Ethiopian basket-tables (?). We were given no utensils, instead scooping the sauces with the bread. All in all a very favorable experience. We recommend this restaurant and will most likely eat there again.
