• Great vegan food where you wouldn't expect it

I've been to Svarog with my girlfriend recently after finding it on happycow, and boy was it a nice surprise. A whole page of purely vegan items on the menu meant some fairly good variety, including many starters, several main dishes and even vegan cake (which unfortunately wasn't available when we were there, but they offered to bring fresh fruit instead). The food was excellent, and so was the service. Our waiter was very friendly and even made sure to replace the standard (non-vegan) alioli that comes with the bread with a tomato dip (ideally, make sure to tell them you're vegan beforehand). After we finished, the owner showed up at our table and chatted with us for a bit - turns out she's vegan herself. Overall we had a great time and can absolutely recommend eating here.
