  • Really enjoyed, would definitely like to visit again

I visited this place for the first time and having just read some of the reviews, all I can say is I'm a little confused - and glad I didn't look the Prince George up before visiting! The pub itself is cosy and very busy when I visited. Despite this, service at the bar and of the food was very quick. There are a range of vegan options - I chose the vegan chilli dog. On ordering, I was surprised that the waitress offered it with vegan cheese which was nice as normally the vegan option is just the same meal but without the dairy products. I was also really happy that vegan and vegetarian wines were labelled on the menu (a little sad that not all the wines were vegetarian though in an order otherwise vegetarian pub...). The food when it came was a huge portion - one main course is definitely enough, I can't imagine many customers make it to desert in the Prince George... it wasn't quite what I was expecting from a 'chilli dog' but it was tasty and extremely filling. The only negative I really think of is that the music was blaringly loud and I really struggled to hear what my friend - who was sat a foot away from me - was saying. Overall though I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely consider visiting again when I'm next in Brighton.
