- Favorite Restaurant in Big Sur
In a tiny town without many restaurant options, I'm so thankful that the Big Sur Bakery always offers a vegan, gluten-free soup for lunch & dinner. It is consistently full of flavor and home-made goodness. The menu has a section of vegetable dishes that are intended to be served as sides, but I always order one as a salad starter and the soup as my main. The vegetable dishes are large portions with very creative flavor combinations and always leave me feeling full & impressed. The atmosphere of the bakery is relaxed and unpretentious catering to both campers & visitors from the upscale hotels near-by. There is a mix of outdoor seating for warm weather or cozy tables indoors for an intimate dinner. Dog friendly seating outdoors.
