  • Excellent for vegans

As noted in the other reviews, this restaurant is a rare gem because it has a page in its menu dedicated to vegan dishes (15 dishes in total). We had the spaghetti al pesto trapanese (pesto sauce made from pine nuts, almonds and basil) and the tagliolini con porcini e pomodorini (thin tagliatele with wild mushrooms and cherry tomatoes). Both were excellent. Vegan menu consists of salads (EUR 6-9), pasta dishes (EUR 10-14), soups (EUR 7-9), and a couple of other dishes - grilled vegetables and caponata. Portions are not huge but I'd say that this place offers good value compared to some of the other restaurants in Taormina. The restaurant is in a nice spot in the centre of town. The staff are friendly and speak English, and the menu has English translations. My only criticism is that none of the desserts are suitable for vegans other than fresh fruit, but you can always wander over to Stecco Natura Taormina (ice lolly place - highly recommended) or one of the many granita stalls to get your fix. All in all, an excellent find.
