- Small but handy
Cockermouth seems to be too small to support a full-sized health food shop (there was one but it closed down after the first lot of floods) so instead we have this selection on the ground floor of an alternative therapy clinic. There is no chilled or frozen produce and the range is too small to have a proper shop here once a week, but sometimes when you are missing one unusual ingredient this place is just the ticket. I suppose it is rather expensive and at the moment (summer 2015) the exterior is being renovated, but soon it should be looking spruce again. Has sugar-free chocolate, too. Edit: They have added a chiller cabinet with vegetarian sausages etc. Updated from previous review on Tuesday July 21, 2015
