- An Oasis for Vegetarians!
After visiting Quito for several days, Tena was our next stop. What a delicious and refreshing treat after several days of disappointing meals. Apparently vegetarian and vegan food is just not a thing in Ecuador, so by the time we found this place , we were so appreciative to have a menu of delicious and varied veggie choices! The food was delicious and fresh, the little restaurant was clean and enjoyable, and our lady who waited on us and cooked the food was lovely. We arrived off hours, and they were out of a lot of the items on the menu, but everyone in my party was able to find something they enjoyed, even the meat eaters. Muchos Gracias, Tienda Ahimsa!!
