• Good food, communication French only

I was in Montreux for #FFADAYO Sep. 3-5 2016. This place is 1 of only 2 vegetarian places I could find in an area where most other places are very meat-oriented and even foe gras is still popular #WTF #darkAges. The food (menu of the day) wasn't too much but sufficient for a healthy meal, and real good. They even put of some typical natural supplement (protein rich if I understood correctly) in the salad dressing. Communication was tricky though: The staff really does not speak a single word English (or German). I don't know French beyond a few terms like yes/no/please/thanks. Fortunately many terms (spoken or on the menu blackboard) were siblings of English/German/Latin terms (i.e. potatoe, desert, salad), both sides added some gestures, and I let Google translate the tipped amount, so we just managed ... ;-)
