- The MOST Vegan Friendly Mexican Restaurant I've EVER Been To!
I was thrilled to find this restaurant while visiting family, nearby. And, this was probably the most vegan-friendly Mexican restaurant I've EVER been to! For a family of four, all vegan, traveling across the country, we most often find "lame eating." But, not here ... We were offered a vegan/vegetarian menu when we walked in, and as the previous reviewer noted, there were MANY vegan options and substitutes including tofu, seitan, Daiya cheese, and soy crema. The vibe in the restaurant was warm and friendly, not too stuffy, not too busy, and everyone in our party was excited to order a variety of the restaurant's offerings (over the course of two meals). The starters we ordered were ALL delicious, and included the Mexican Spring Rolls, Radio Roll Ups, Chips Y Dos Salsas, and the Black Bean Butternut Squash Soup. (Probably, the biggest surprise we ordered were the Vegan Radio Roll Ups, so don't sleep on those!). We complimented the initial offerings with Tacos a Carbon, Flautas, Vegetable Seitan Fajitas, Vegetarian Chili, Vegan Chimichanga, Vegan Enchiladas, and a House Radio Salad -- all of which were large, filling, and delicious. It is so rare that, as vegans, that we're able to eat things like hearty Mexican Enchiladas, Chimichangas, seitan fajitas and the like, while eating out. But, this rare treat was offered by Mexican Radio. The end result: This is the first place I will go out to eat next time I am in the area!
