- Barca's very own meat free Chinese (no longer)
Updated today after I checked online and discovered it now serves fish & meat Barcelona has a 100% meat free Chinese restaurant. Spacious, friendly and easy to find and only 20 minute walk from the epicentre of Las Ramblas. It was truly a pleasure to eat here and be appreciated by the welcoming owner. Vegan choice is pretty impeccable. We ordered a vegetable and tofu curry and a mock pork sweet and sour served with boiled rice. I'm convinced that any meat eating fool could be persuaded this was real chicken and pig. Of course, it wasn't. Main courses range from €7-€9, boiled rice is €1.50, a bottle of Moritz is €2 and a bottle of house wine is €6. Maybe stay clear of the house wine, it's not the best. However, the budget certainly remains intact. Some days just cry out for a meal like this and you will find it here. The menu is quite extensive, you will not be left disappointed.
